Creating illusions. Neal can manipulate his surroundings to give off false images. They can range from very solid, real illusions, to fake, transparent ones. Upon becoming an Angel, Neal can create something along the lines of a "virtual reality".

h i s t o r y

Neal is the unfortunate victim of a muddled past. As a young child, he was subject to mental experimentation by his parents. His parents were mad scientists, as it were, working on a top secret government project. The project was shut down and his parents shipped away, leaving Neal with the adverse effects of the experimentation: Neal has no memory of his childhood, or the experimentation. But it was not the end of the project that saved him, but his sister, twelve years his senior, who was visiting from America. She took him in and they settled in Berlin, despite the chaos happening there. Neal was eight at the time. She never told him about the experiments, and he never asked any questions.

By some miracle, Neal completed his education. Well, almost. He dropped out of college and decided to get a job instead. He currently works two part-time jobs, both as store clerks, and is an artist on the side. He lives on his own in a dinky, run-down apartment.

Neal discovered his power at the same time he learned about the Final Battle. He used his power in front of a co-worker by accident, and they mentioned it to him. Neal has long forgotten the name of his co-worker, but has not forgotten the Final Battle.

p e r s o n a l i t y

Neal never received psychiatric treatment. Thus he is full of more-than-his-fair-share of mental problems. He is highly susceptible to mental breakdown, and has a flaky memory. Often times he suffers from panic attacks and is highly anxious. It's almost as if he suffers from two personalities, because the other half of the time he is jubilant, carefree, and friendly. He hates to see anyone else suffer, let alone anyone see him suffer.

There is also the strictly-business side to Neal. He takes his jobs seriously, because well, he doesn't have much money.

Unfortunately, because of Neal's irate personality, he is also an infrequent abuser of drugs and alcohol.

a p p e a r a n c e

Neal dresses very strangely. He frequently goes from having blonde to dark blue hair, depending on his mood. This is also partially dependant on his power, seeing as he can create illusions. It seems natural to him. Earrings and a necklace are often seen adorned on his ears and neck. He likes to wear white shirts and a large, colourful jacket. He is very cleanly and seems to sparkle wherever he goes.

Other people see Neal as a very strange man indeed. He doesn't answer personal questions, especially ones concerning his past. Yet, he is known to approach random people on the streets and converse with them. He isn't particularly bright, but he's very sharp.
